Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Dot Hong Kong ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Data Retention & Limitation of Liability

  1. Availability of Service and Save Files. This application and its tracking services are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. The Developer makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the permanence, backup security, integrity, or continuous availability of your gameplay metrics or historical location data ("dots").
  2. Explicit Risk of Data Loss. You acknowledge that gameplay records, map points, and progress statistics are stored digitally and may be permanently lost, corrupted, or deleted at any time due to server maintenance, technical updates, background migrations, infrastructure shifts, or unintended runtime errors.
  3. Complete Limitation of Liability. To the maximum extent permitted by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), the Developer shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the loss, corruption, or deletion of your profile data, even if advised of such system risks. All map data and statistics are the intellectual property of the Developer, carry no monetary value, and represent a revocable user license.
  4. No Obligation to Restore. The Developer is under no contractual, financial, or legal obligation to maintain multi-point redundancies, restore deleted save files, or manually recover historical location logs following any system malfunction or user action.

Weather Data Disclaimer

All weather data is provided "as is" without any warranty of accuracy, completeness, or timeliness. The weather information and exploration features are for entertainment and informational purposes only and should not be used as a basis for any real-world decisions, including but not limited to employment attendance, travel plans, or safety measures.

  1. User Responsibility: You are solely responsible for your own safety and legal compliance while using this app. This app does not encourage, endorse, or condone trespassing on private, government, or restricted property.
  2. No Physical Invitation: The pixel grid displayed on the map is a digital representation of coordinates. The presence of a pixel does not imply that the physical location is safe, accessible, or legal to enter.
  3. High-Risk Areas: Visiting remote areas, wilderness, country parks, or steep terrain involves inherent risks. Do not attempt to visit physical coordinates under hazardous conditions (such as extreme weather, typhoons, landslides, or low visibility).
  4. Indemnification: Under no circumstances shall the developers or the platform be held liable for any legal consequences, fines, injuries, accidents, or loss of life resulting from your physical travel to any location.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR).

Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
